Timed Assessment and Catwalk Shots

So my timed assessment was finally upon me and having had trouble the week before with my model I had finally secured a model and would then be able to take my backstage images afterwards as I had originally planned. My lace piece was sewn and secured with white elastic and then pinned in areas where needed and I attached boning to the heightened parts of the headpiece also so it would stand up from the head.

The model's hair was parted half way to cover the band and then slicked back into a sleek ponytail and secured with a gold plated ring around the band.

I decided to go for a subtle gold paintpot on the eyes with a gold pigment pressed onto the inner corner matching with the gold ring in the back. My aim was to stick to Ricardo Tisci's original idea of using rings to symbolise love and wholeness.

Surprisingly the timed assessment went better than I expected as the images that came out I am extremely happy with, it challenged me as I always like making pieces for my shoots and I enjoyed the process.

My favourite image that I am going to submit for one of my final catwalk looks is the largest image on the left as I think it embodies Givenchy and their backstage style for Spring/Summer 16.
